Skin Check

Early Detection. Expert Care. World-Leading Imaging Technology.

At The Skin Doctor, every skin check is more than just a look — it’s a detailed, doctor-led assessment combining clinical experience with world-class imaging technology to detect even the smallest changes in your skin.

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. Regular, high-quality skin checks are one of the most effective ways to ensure early detection and prevention. That’s why we’ve invested in the most advanced skin imaging systems available globally, allowing our doctors to monitor and analyse your skin with unmatched precision.

Each full-body skin check is approximately one hour in duration, including around 40 minutes of dedicated examination with your skin cancer physician, who inspects every single mole and spot from head to toe using a state-of-the-art digital dermatoscope capable of peering into the skin and displaying the image live on large high definition computer screens.

About 3d Mole Mapping

3D Mole Mapping – The Gold Standard in Skin Surveillance (Diamond Creek)

Our 3D Mole Mapping service, using the VECTRA® WB360 system, is the most advanced skin monitoring technology available today.

This system captures your entire skin surface in one 360-degree session, using 92 cameras firing simultaneously. In seconds, a complete, true-to-life 3D avatar of your skin is created, allowing us to:

  • Examine every mole in ultra-high resolution

  • “Lift” lesions off the skin virtually for detailed analysis

  • Measure changes over time with precision

Detect new lesions that might otherwise be missed

How it works

  1. Step into the VECTRA® WB360 booth at our Diamond Creek clinic.

  2. Ninety-two cameras capture your skin from every angle in seconds.

  3. Our software creates a 3D model mapping every freckle and mole.

Images are stored securely for future comparison to track changes.
